OUR BEGINNING

In 2007, Katie Streeper travelled from Canada to Uganda with friends and met the then 35 children of a local Children’s Home who were living in a mud hut, receiving one meal a day and rarely attending school due to lack of funding for school fees and other necessities.

Despite good intentions, it was apparent that without adequate funding, the children’s welfare would remain marginalized. In 2008, Katie and her friends took the initiative to fundraise to build a new home and in a few short months, the goal was accomplished. Proving that when we stand together, anything is possible!

Over the years, our work has evolved from supporting children in a children’s home setting, to supporting children in their homes and empowering families.
